The Pistol Team is open to any interested club member who has a .22 semi-auto pistol.
The pistol team is a competition team that competes in the Adirondack Foothills Pistol League. The season goes from November through March with the first match in early December. Practice is on Monday nights during November and then practice is on Sunday nights with matches on Monday nights from December to March. There is an end-of-year banquet in April. We are a traveling team that shoots 14 matches, half home and half away at other clubs in the area. The pistol team is very active within the Fish and Game Club and continuously strives to improve our facilities and equipment. We have many NRA certified instructors and experienced members on the team that can teach all levels of shooters. The pistol team charges an annual fee of $25 to cover expenses such as targets, lights, frames, etc. In addition there is a $3.00 fee for each match which covers trophies, end-of-year banquet, etc. You do not have to be a good shooter to join the pistol team – we’ll be glad to teach you. You only need a pistol and some enthusiasm – we’ll do the rest. For more information, or just to look around, come down to the Club on any Sunday evening during the season and meet the guys (and gals).
