Welcome to our new Club Website

The Club was founded almost fifty years ago by a group of sportsmen who were looking for a place to fish, hunt, shoot, and share the company of others with similar interests.  Although the facilities have changed over the years, the basic interests haven’t changed at all.

There are about 200 members in the Club.  Some of them are just looking for a place to sight-in their deer rifle; others enjoy socializing with members of the various activities. Still others are active in one of the internal groups such as the pistol, rifle, archery or trap team. The Club has an outdoor rifle range that extends to two hundred yards, a fifty yard pistol range, and a trap range.  There is also an outdoor field archery range that meanders around the club grounds.

There is a nice pavilion to hide under if it starts raining. The clubhouse has a large meeting room upstairs, and an eight point firing range downstairs (mostly for indoor archery and .22’s)

All of the Club activities are constantly looking for new members, so if you like to shoot (almost anything), come on down and meet the folks.  A common misconception is that you have to be good to join one of the “teams”.  That’s not the case at all!  If you’re interested, then get involved – we’ll teach you to be good.

We try to keep the Club dues as reasonable as possible.  Right now (2009), they are $70 per year, with a $35 initiation fee the first year.  I think if you check around, you’ll see that that’s pretty reasonable for this area.  The membership is a “family membership”, so for instance if Dad joins, then Mom and the kids are also entitled to all the privileges of membership.

Speaking of kids, we have a Jr. Rifle Club that’s always looking for new members.  You have to be 12 years old to join, but all the equipment and lots of instruction is provided at a minimal cost.

If you’re looking for a place to shoot, come on down.  Look the place over.  Talk to some of the members.  Meet some of the activity directors.  We’d like to get you involved in our club.  Club meetings are the first Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM.  See you there.
